Nigeria booked a sixth appearance at the FIFA World Cup following a 1-0 defeat of the Copper Bullets of Zambia on Saturday.
Alex Iwobi came on as a substitute to score the decisive goal which sealed the win for Nigeria midway through the second half.
After the win, Nigerians were undoubtedly over the moon as their darling nation joined the best footballing nations of the world to qualify for the 2018 mundial, becoming the first to do so in Africa.
In our usual way, we decided to track how these Nigerians went out of their way to celebrate a great day for Nigerian football on Twitter.
