Moffi, 26, has been away from the group since June 2024 when Nigeria lost to Benin Republic on match day four of the World Cup Qualifiers in Abidjan.

The striker missed games for club and country in the past one year due to injury, but having returned to full fitness, he has earned a recall back to the national team.

Moffi, who was listed in the Eagles provisional squad last month, has scored three times in six appearances in all competitions for his French side this term.

Despite doubts surrounding his fitness, Victor Osimhen โ€“ who missed the South Africa game last month โ€“ also makes a return to the squad after his match winning performance against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League during the week. The squad also features the return of Semi Ajayi, Alhassan Yusuf and Olakunle Olusegun.

Nigeria, who are just three points behind South Afirca and Benin on the log, will take on Lesotho and Benin in the final round of matches, as the Super Eagles aim to nick the sole automatic qualification ticket to next yearโ€™s tournament in North America.
