Team Nigeria is currently placed eleventh position at the on-going 2019 African Games in Morocco. Elizabeth Anyanacho (-67kg) and Uzoamaka Otuadinma (-73kg) won bronze medals in the women’s taekwondo event.

Nigeria beat Ethopia 5-0 in the mixed team badminton event, Nigeria men lost to Angola 16-13 in the 3×3 Basketball event, Nigeria women whitewashed Niger Republic 21-5 in the 3×3 basketball event.

Nigeria lost to Seychelles 3-2 (25-23, 18-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11) in the women’s volleyball event.

The trio of Funke Oshonaike, Offiong Edem and Cecilia (Nigeria) beat Safa Saidani, Abir Haj and Fadwa Garci (Tunisia) 3-1 to qualify for the finals of the women’s table tennis event .

Nigeria’s trio of Segun Toriola Olajide Omotayo and Aruna Quadri defeated Congo’s Idowu Saheed, Bienatiki Henrim and Lignandzi Michael 3-0 to qualify for the men’s table tennis final.
