The long awaited sale of Nigeria’s World Cup kits will begin at the end of this month, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reveal on Thursday.

Kits to be adorned by the national team at next month’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia were unveiled in London on February 7, with the designs bringing back memories of the golden era of Nigerian football in 1994.

Fans of the national team have waited and asked in vain for the sale of the kits especially after the Super Eagles used the home and away kits in the friendly games against Poland and Serbia respectively in March.

However, American sportswear giant, NIKE, in collaboration with the NFF on Thursday announced that they will go on sale on Nigeria’s Democracy Day, May 29, adding that it has received over three million orders since the launch of the kits in February.

A unit of the jersey is expected to cost $85, about N30,000.00

“The new Super Eagles’ jerseys will be released into the global market, including several NIKE shops across Nigeria, on 29th May 2018, just before the Eagles fly out to London for the friendly match against England. The cost would be $85 for one,” NFF’s Vice President Shehu Dikko was quoted as saying.
