There has been a managerial shakeup in the English Premier League, after West Ham United and Everton announced the departure of their managers on Wednesday.

First, Merseyside club, Everton, confirmed that their manager Sam Allardyce had left the club.

“Sam was brought in at a challenging time last season to provide us with some stability and we are grateful to him for doing that,” club

The former West Ham and Bolton boss joined the club late last year, replacing Ronald Koeman and signing a two-year-deal.

The 63-year-old, whose style did not sit well with fans of rhe club, took over with the Toffees 13th on the PL table, but guided them to an eighth place finish.

In London, the Hammers also announced the departure of ex-Everton manager, Moyes, after the expiration of his six-month contract.

Moyes joined the club in January, with the club languishing in relegation waters as they occupied the 18th position on the league table.

However, despite ensuring the club avoided the drop, following their 13th place finish, the Moyes and the club chose to part ways.

“I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to David Moyes and his staff for achieving the target of keeping West Ham United in the Premier League,” club Joint-chairman, Davd Sullivan said.

Meanwhile, the departures of both managers have led to reactions on social media, and here are some of them.

David Moyes and Sam Allardyce are like the corner forwards on a junior football team. When they get a start they do their best but know they'll be hauled off no matter how well they do.

Fair play to Moyes but he had a job to do and now his contract is up.

You wouldn’t bring your wedding planner on the honeymoon would ya!!

Never Moyes biggest fan but ARNIE a much improved player since he came, fitter squad and did what we needed. But as before unless we spend serious money no manager in the world will make us any better than where we are now.

David Moyes is available. The Arsenal job is available. Hmmn.

Moyes taking over from Sir Alex is worse than Arteta taking over from Wenger.
