“I’m proud to be associated with my Governor (Seriake Dickson), he recognized us after the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland; no he’s doing same to us. I think the governor deserves some accolades”, he said.

“Over 15 wrestlers are employed under the Bayelsa state government. This alone tells the world that the sports wrestling is part of the Niger Delta State. Every week, most local government organizes traditional wrestling and most of us take part in this historical event to keep fit and it’s supported by the governor himself”, Ebikewenimo added.

He also commended the unrelentless effort of the President of Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali for the immense support for wrestling team, promising to make the country proud subsequently.

Two times Commonwealth Champion, Odunayo Adekuoroye said the act exhibited by Governor Dickson shows he’s a lover of wrestling.
