Ghana, Nigeria share the honours at Africa V/ball C’ship

The zone 3 Africa Volleyball Club Championship in Lagos ended on a high with Ghana and Nigeria as winners in both male and female finals.

The male bronze medal match between Legacy and Nigeria Police ended 3-0 (25-21, 25-15,25-22) in favour of Legacy Club of Lagos.

After the bronze medal match was the female final between Nigeria customs and Ghana Police. It was a straightforward match for the Nigerian side who won 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-13).

This was immediately followed by the men’s final, a tight contest which ended in a flattering 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 30-28) scoreline in favour of Ghana Police.

In addition to winning the tournament, Amanor of Ghana emerged the most valuable male player of the tournament while Esther Disu of customs was also rewarded with the female MVP award for her efforts during the tournament.
