He said, “I am happy that another opportunity has presented itself for me to represent Nigeria at the African Games. My final match against Ikechukwu Robinson was a very tough one because he is a familiar wrestler.

“When I featured at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, I did not have confidence and it led to me not performing to my fullest capacity. I believe my bout at the African Games in Ghana is going to be different because I have learnt my lessons.

Alfred admitted that winning a medal at the African Games would be one of the best moments of his career.

He said, “Everyone should expect something different at the African Games. By the grace of God, I will put more effort this time and win a medal. Winning a medal will definitely be one of the best moments of my career”.
