The Kogi State Director of Sport, Sunday Daku has said the state contingents are fully ready to conquer all other participating States for the 2019 National Youth Games in Ilorin.

Daku stated this during an interview with newsmen in Lokoja.

The sport director while appreciating the Kogi State Government for their support towards promoting grassroots sport said the government had made available all allowances of members of its contingent to the 5th national youth games (NYG) in Ilorin.

He assured them that the State Government had made available a reward package for athletes who perform well by winning medals at the games.

He thanked the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the State Commissioner for Sport, Prince Salisu Ogu for supporting the athletes to participate and showcase their talents at the games.

Daku however assured the state government of an impressive outing at the games.

Team Delta emerged winners of the 4th edition of the games in Ilorin with 27 gold, 24 silver and 16 bronze medals.
