CAF has confirmed the global broadcast line-up for the 2026 WAFCON, with more than 18 free-to-air broadcasters and several major international networks set to show the expanded tournament, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 14th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from 26 July to 16 August, with the United Kingdom set to broadcast the tournament for the first time through Channel 4, while DAZN will also show the competition for the first time in Germany and surrounding territories.
CAF announced that its long-term partner beIN Sport will provide coverage across the Middle East and North Africa, while Ziggo will also broadcast the tournament. CANAL+ will show the competition in a number of French-speaking Sub-Saharan African territories.
In Africa, host broadcaster SNRT will provide coverage in Morocco, with SABC showing the tournament in South Africa and AZAM Media covering parts of East Africa, including Tanzania. BBC Radio will also broadcast the competition in a number of Sub-Saharan African territories.
More than 18 free-to-air broadcasters will bring the tournament to audiences across the continent.
They include KBC in Kenya, AfroSport in Nigeria, MaxTV in Ghana, RTI in Côte d’Ivoire, RTCV in Cabo Verde, ZNBC in Zambia and RTB in Burkina Faso.
The 2026 WAFCON will be the first edition to feature 16 teams after the competition was expanded from 12, with the champions set to receive $2 million in prize money.
