Odbojkaški klub Niš player, Pascal Ozokoye has emerged the best blocker at the 2023/2024 Serbian Junior Championship, www.aclsports.com reports.

Ozokoye joined Odbojkaški klub Niš from Partizani VBC of Albania where he won overall Best Blocker in the 2022/23 Albanian Volleyball League.

The former Nigeria U19 player told www.aclsports.com that the award will inspire him to put more effort in his game.

He revealed that his teammates have been supportive on and off the court since he arrived in Serbia.

Ozokoye said, “I am dedicating this award to my teammates and coaches for believing in my capacity since I arrived the club. When I joined the club last October, I thought it was going to take me a long time before I could adapt to the environment but I was wrong.

“This award is an inspiration to my career because it is the second award in two consecutive years in Europe. I feel accomplished but I know I have a long way to go”.

The former Plateau Rocks player vowed to lift his club in the coming season.

“Thank God that we were able to escape relegation following our outstanding performances at the Play-Out winning two out of three matches. I could not help my team in the regular season because I had to honour my fatherland by attending the 13th African Games in Ghana. Next season will be different as I will give me 100% attention to my club side”.

Pascal Ozokoye emerged as Best MiddleBlocker at the 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League and African U21 Men’s Volleyball Championship in Tunisia.
