Dutch side, Ajax Amsterdam, are through to the UEFA Champions League, UCL, quarterfinal after an historic 4-1 demolition of champions, Real Madrid in their round of 16 second leg tie at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

Goals from Hakim Ziyech, David Neres, Dusan Tadic and a superb free kick from Lasse Schone saw Ajax overturn their 2-1 loss in the first leg to knockout the defending champions with a 5-3 aggregate victory.

It was a very comfortable evening for the Dutch giants in the Spanish capital, inspired by a man of the match performance from Tadic, who scored and assisted another goal as they claimed a memorable win against a poor Los Blancos side.

With the result, Ajax did not just book their place in the quarterfinal but are now the first team to advanced from a knockout round after losing the first leg at home 2-1.

The 1995 winners of the competition will be playing in the quarterfinals for the first time since the lifted the coveted title 22 years ago.

While Kane scored the only goal of the tie, Lloris made a series of excellent saves as Spurs sealed their passage with a convincing 4-0 aggregate victory over the Yellows and Black.

The victory means Mauricio Pochettino and his men become the first English side to book their place in the quarterfinals of the competition this season.
