Nigeria Golden Eaglets dominated the ongoing 2025 U17 WAFU B Boys Tournament’s group stage XI released by the organisers on Monday, www.aclsports.com reports.

Manu Garba’s boys, who are preparing to face their counterparts from Ghana in the semifinal on Tuesday, stood out in the group stages of the tournament, and they have now been duly recognised in the XI of the group stage.

George Agha, hat-trick hero against Benin Republic, skipper David Edeh, left-footed centre-back Godwin Menyaga, and mesmerizing winger Boluwatife Thompson were the ones that made the cut, as the remaining spots were shared between Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, and Burkina Faso.

Thompson has been the standout performer in the two games played by Garba’s men at the tournament in Yamoussoukro. He was highly involved in the goals against Benin before being named Man of the Match for his excellent showing in the second game against Burkina Faso. The team will be hoping he can continue that form when they take to the pitch for their semifinal game.

Nigeria and Ghana will trade tackles on Tuesday night at Stade Charles Konan Banny, Yamoussoukro, for a place in the final and next year’s Africa Cup of Nations. The game has been scheduled to kick off by 8pm (Nigerian time). The other semifinal tie is between hosts Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
