Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe has joined Al Hilal on a contract running until 2028 following her departure from SL Benfica, www.aclsports.com reports.
Ucheibe has moved to the Saudi Arabian side on a free transfer after her contract with Benfica ended. She made 179 appearances for the Portuguese giants, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions.
The 25-year-old won six consecutive Liga BPI titles, as well as five Taça da Liga trophies, two Taça de Portugal titles and two Supertaça crowns, playing a pivotal role in Benfica’s success.
Ucheibe was deployed mainly in defence during her time at Benfica, where her strength, defensive ability and versatility made her a reliable member of the squad.
She has also established herself as an important player for the Super Falcons and was part of the Nigeria squad that won the 2024 WAFCON title in Morocco.
She will link up with her Nigerian compatriot and six-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala at Al Hilal.
