Al-Ahly Benghazi of Libya, Enyimba FC’s opponents in their first group stage game of this season’s Total CAF Confederation Cup (TotalCAFCC), are expected to arrive Nigeria on Saturday, www.aclsports.com reports.

In an itinerary notification from the Libyan club made available to www.aclsports.com on Thursday evening, it was noted that the Libyans will touch down at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Port Harcourt on Saturday evening.

A 40-man contingent of the Libyan Premier League side are expected to land in Port Harcourt at about 4:00pm Nigerian time via an Afriqiyah Airways directly from the Benina International Airport, Benghazi.

Before departing for Nigeria, Al-Ahly Benghazi will face Al Anwar in their third league game of the season on Friday afternoon. The team have three matches outstanding due to their progress in the CAF competition this season.

This is the first time that Al-Ahly Benghazi will be featuring in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in their history. They have however participated in the Champions League group stage, most recently in 2014.

To reach the group stage, Al-Ahly, coached by Serbian Dejan Arsov defeated Congolese side Daring Club Motema Pembe on penalties while Enyimba also defeated compatriots Rivers United on penalties in the playoff round.

Enyimba’s clash with Al-Ahly Benghazi will hold at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 2pm local time.

The last time we played a Libyan team here in Aba, we beat them 1-0. It was Enyimba 1-0 Al Ittihad.
This time around, we are tripling the result. It’s gonna be ; Enyimba 3-0 Al Ahli Benghazi.
