Head coach of Owena Kings, Tommy Olalude said his tactics worked against Plateau Vipers at the ongoing 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Owena Kings recorded her first win against Plateau Vipers 29-26 on Day 6.

Olalude told www.aclsports.com that he had sleepless night plotting his first win against Plateau Vipers in the league.

Tommy Olalude said the players listened to every instruction he dished during the encounter.

He said, “I am happy my tactics worked against Plateau Vipers today. Most of the fans were expecting Owena Kings to lose again but we shocked them after we defeated the Jos based team.

“My joy today was that my players listened to the instructions from the bench. I studied the match and discovered Plateau Vipers had two outstanding players. I instructed them to mark out the players and that was the end”.

He said Owena Kings still stand a chance of remaining in the handball top flight league after the end of the season.

Olalude said, “The next mission is for us to remain in the Prudent Energy Handball League as it will be disastrous if Owena Kings are missing. We bring glamour to the league and we can afford to play at the Division one next year”.
