Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo has signed a contract extension with AS Roma Femminile, keeping her at the Italian club until 2029, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 21-year-old defender, having joined the Giallorosse from FC Robo Queens in February 2025, has been rewarded with a new long-term deal following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign. She established herself as one of Serie A Femminile’s top defenders, winning the Serie A Women Best Defender award and earning a place in the Serie A Women Team of the Season.
Oladipo played a crucial role in Roma’s domestic success as the club completed a domestic double, winning both the Serie A Femminile title and Coppa Italia. She featured in 18 league matches, making 15 starts, as the Giallorosse recorded 11 clean sheets in the matches she featured in and remained unbeaten whenever she played in the league.
The Nigerian defender also enjoyed a memorable season across all competitions, making 30 appearances, including her UEFA Women’s Champions League debut, further highlighting her growing importance to the squad.
Her defensive performances were reflected in the numbers, with Oladipo registering 27 interceptions, 27 tackles, 70 clearances and 104 recoveries in 1,398 league minutes as Roma finished with one of the strongest defensive records in the division.
Roma announced Oladipo’s contract extension on the club’s official platforms, reaffirming their confidence in one of Nigeria’s brightest young defensive talents.
With her future secured until 2029, Oladipo will look to build on her impressive breakthrough season and continue her development as a key member of the Roma squad, while also strengthening her role with the Super Falcons ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
