Yemisi Olatunji, the current Zimbabwe Open champion, is set to defend her title in Bulawayo this month, www.ACLSports.com reports.

The open is billed to start from 4th to 5th August 2018 in Zimbabwe

The Nigeria no 1 who missed the 2018 Calgary Professional Squash Association (PSA) Women’s Championships in Canada last March is attending her first international event.

Olatunji said the Open is a process of working towards a return for the 2018 season.

The Lagos Classics Semi finalist said “There’s no question that I’m ready and I want to defend my title here in Zimbabwe. It would be a pretty significant accomplishment this on a foreign soil”.

“After placing third at the Lagos Squash Classic Open in March, I had trained hard for the Calgary Championships in March but you already know the story – I could not attend. That would have been an opportunity for me to improve my game”.

“The Chamberlain Squash Open did not really go well for me and I hope I’ll be able to retain my title here as a compensation”, the bronze medallist at the 2017 Namibia Open said.
