England international, Ryan Shawcross has signed a new deal at Stoke City, after signing a new long-term contract at the club.

He has signed a new four-year deal, which will seen him stay at the Potters until 2021.

The defender, who helped Stoke gain Promotion to the PL in 2008, has been at Stoke for ten years, and celebrated the anniversary last month.

“It has been a busy summer for us in the transfer market, and we’re delighted with the signings we’ve made. The renewal of Ryan’s contract, however, is as significant as any new signing we have made,” Chief Executive, Tony Sccholes said.

“It’s unusual in this day and age for a player to spend so long at one club. Ryan has become synonymous with the progress the Club has made over the past decade and we’re delighted he has committed to at least another four years with us.”

Shawcross, a graduate of the Manchester United academy, has made over 300 appearances for Stoke in the league, and has been captain of the side for  seven seasons.
