Six-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala fired Al Hilal into the Saudi Women’s Super Cup final with a 2-1 comeback win over Al Ittihad on Wednesday, www.aclsports.com reports.
The Super Falcons forward scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute of the semi-final, racing onto a through ball before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to put Al Hilal ahead.
Her compatriot Ashleigh Plumptre, who captained Al Ittihad, opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, producing a delicate finish to give her side a 1-0 lead at the break. It was her first appearance since undergoing successful surgery on her left foot, which ruled her out of the 2026 WAFCON.
Al Hilal levelled in the 63rd minute when Albandari Mobarak found the net before Oshoala struck nine minutes later to seal the victory.
Nigerian midfielder Christy Ucheibe made her Al Hilal debut, starting the semi-final after joining from Benfica.
Al Hilal will face Al Nassr in the final on Saturday as they look to lift the Saudi Women’s Super Cup.
