NWFL Premiership champions Edo Queens eased past USFA FC 5-1 to reach the final of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B qualifiers on Wednesday in Ouagadougou, www.aclsports.com reports.
Edo Queens were in complete control against the hosts, racing into a three-goal lead before half-time and adding two more after the break to seal an emphatic victory.
They took the lead in the 17th minute after a scramble in the box, with Atume Doosuur reacting quickest to score her third goal of the tournament. Esther Moses doubled the advantage in the 43rd minute with a superb strike from outside the box, taking her tally to four goals.
Valentina Uroko then made it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time, sending a free-kick from around 35 yards straight into the net.
Dooshima Tarnum extended the lead in the 47th minute with an Olympico from a corner for her second goal of the tournament, before Aminat Folorunso made it 5-0 in the 63rd minute after finishing a well-worked move set up by Doosuur. It was Folorunso’s second goal of the tournament.
USFA pulled one back in the 90+3rd minute through Leslie Beremwidougou, who converted a free-kick, but Edo Queens comfortably held on, with Uroko named Player of the Match.
They will face either Ampem Darkoa or Dynamique FC in the final on 5 September as they look to claim the WAFU-B title once again and secure their place in the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
