Prudent Energy Handball League: Federation lauded ahead of kick-off

The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has been praised by players and coaches of the Prudent Energy Handball League as Rowe Park Sports Centre plays host to the second phase of the League.

The teams are already in town and they are excited to in the nation’s former Federal capital for the second phase of the league which commences on Wednesday.

Coach Agboola Shitta Adewunmi of Lagos Seasiders commended the Handball Federation of Nigeria under the leadership of Samuel Ocheo for reviving the league and the sponsors for how they have improved the league from the first phase.

“I must really commend the Federation for what they have done in reviving every facet of the sport including the league. It is also evident in the recent success of our cadet teams who recently qualified for the world championships for the first time since 1985. All thanks must go to Prudent energy for rescuing the league before it goes comatoes and we hope these good things in the league will continue.”

In the same vein, captain of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) shooters Samuel Samuel thanked the President of HFN and the sponsor for putting a smile on the players once again.

“I want say a big thank you to the president of the Handball Federation, Mr. Samuel Ocheo and his board for doing a great job in awakening the league as well as putting a smile on the players. Handball was dead before now. I also want to say a big thank you to the sponsor for partnering with federation”.

While for Joseph Udali, the athlete representive in the board of the Handball Federation, handball under digital president, Samuel Ocheo has grown in leaps and bound and can only get better.

“I must say kudos to the president for getting us a sponsor and for fine-tuning the league again. I believe we will have a good second phase.”
