Nigerian star Ibrahim Olawoyin was instrumental in Çaykur Rizespor’s 3-0 away win over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday, www.aclsports.com reports.
Just last weekend, Rizespor ended their seven-game winless streak (in all competitions) with a 2-0 home win over Kocaelispor and went to Istanbul for consolidation this weekend as they look to win two league games in a row for the first time this season.
Rizespor manager Recep Uçar maintained the same starting lineup that won last weekend for the visit to Kasimpasa and it meant that Olawoyin continued in his preferred central midfield role for a second week running.

Rizespor went in front in the 25th minute when Halil Dervisoglu netted a rebound after Kasimpasa goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis had kept out Casper Hojer’s long range effort.
Kasimpasa then fell further behind in the 56th minute after winger Valentine Mihaila cut in from the left before firing home from 20 yards to make the task more difficult for the hosts.

With ten minutes left on the clock, all hopes of Emre Belozoglu’s Kasimpasa staging a comeback was extinguished when Olawoyin drove the ball towards the hosts’s penalty area before playing a deceptive pass to Adedire Mebude who fired home from close range.

The win was only the second away win in the league this season for Rizespor and the first time they have won two games in a row in the league. Rizespor have now climbed to 10th on the log and seven points clear of the relegation zone
Kasimpasa who just last Monday secured a brilliant 1-1 draw at title chasers Fenerbahçe drop down into the relegation zone after the home loss with Emre’s reign as manager under fire.
