Robo Queens suffered their first defeat of the season on Matchday 7 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, losing 1–0 to Remo Stars, while Rivers Angels roared back with a 5–0 win over Heartland Queens, and Bayelsa Queens remained unbeaten with a 4–1 victory, www.aclsports.com reports.

At Remo Stars Stadium, Robo Queens’ six-match winning run ended in the South West derby as Remo Stars Ladies claimed a 1–0 win to end a three-game winless streak. Cynthia Mega’s 73rd-minute strike gave the hosts all three points and marked the first time Robo Queens failed to score this campaign.

Rivers Angels bounced back from their South-South derby loss to Bayelsa Queens, thrashing Heartland Queens 5–0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt. Ramotalahi Kareem completed a hat-trick (14’, 33’, 58’) while Abasiofon Uwah scored twice (22’, 38’), making Rivers Angels the only team this season with multiple hat-trick scorers.

Bayelsa Queens remained unbeaten with a 4–1 win over Adamawa Queens in Makwada. Captain Blessing Ilivieda put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, before Omo Afensemi equalised for Adamawa. Goals from Janet Akekoromowei (36’) and Kindness Ifeanyi, who scored twice (45’, 66’), secured the win. Ilivieda now has three goals for the season, Akekoromowei has scored in three consecutive matches, and Ifeanyi leads with five league goals.

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Edo Queens beat Pacesetter Queens 2–1. Saidat Adeniyi opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before Aminat Adebisi levelled for the visitors in the 51st. Doosuur Atume restored Edo’s lead in the 58th minute, extending her scoring streak to five consecutive matches, just two short of Bolaji Olamide’s record of seven straight games for Remo Stars Ladies last season.

Dannaz Ladies ended a four-match losing streak with a 2–1 victory over Ahudiyannem Queens. Amarachi Anusillem (58’) scored first, Chizaram Onyenze (71’) equalised, but Adewunmi Akintola’s 87th-minute goal secured the win. Ahudiyannem recorded their first NWFL goal but remain without a win.

Abia Angels beat Delta Queens 1–0 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, with Blessing Okon scoring in the 55th minute, ending the hosts’ three-game winning run. Osun Babes and Sunshine Queens drew 0–0 at Lanreleke Sports Complex, while Nasarawa Amazons salvaged a 1–1 draw at Confluence Queens, with Seember Emmanuel (19’) and Omotoke Ogunfuwa (88’) scoring.

Meanwhile Ibom Angels overcame Ekiti Queens 2–1 at the Uyo Township Stadium in a match played behind closed doors following crowd violence in their previous home game against Bayelsa Queens. Happiness Agboye opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Seun Fakunle equalised in the 30th, but Wami Georgeline’s 80th-minute strike secured all three points for Ibom Angels.
