The NWFL has opened registration for the 2026 Nationwide League, calling on clubs across the country to take part in the third tier of women’s football, www.aclsports.com reports.

In a statement released on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and signed by the league’s spokesman, Samuel Ahmadu, the NWFL confirmed that registration payments will run from Monday, April 13 to June 30. The registration fee for the 2026 season is set at ₦550,000, while clubs that featured in the 2025 edition may be required to settle outstanding caution or expulsion-related fees where applicable.

NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, said the Nationwide division continues to serve as an open platform for clubs seeking entry into the league system.

“This division remains open to clubs across the country,” she said, highlighting its role in supporting the growth of teams and players within a structured environment.

Registration will be conducted in phases, with payments scheduled between April 13 and June 30. The registration portal opens on May 30 and closes on July 10, ahead of the new season expected to kick off in August.

The process will be fully online, according to the league, as part of efforts to improve efficiency and ensure transparency. Clubs have also received the required documents, including licensing guidelines and player registration forms, to aid compliance.

Details on venues and the full competition schedule will be announced at a later date.
