Matchday two of the NWFL Premiership saw Champions Rivers Angels bounce back from their opening day draw to claim an emphatic home win while Nasarawa Amazons recorded their second home loss in two games.

Rivers Angels made light work of Delta Queens defeating them 6-2 at the Uniport Sports Institute on Wednesday evening.

A brace from Oghenebrume Ikekua and an own goal set the champions on their way early in the first half before Dominance Odubanjo pulled one goal back for the visitors going into the break.

Odubanjo continued her scoring streak in the second half to make it 3-2 but Rivers Angels in their ruthless form extended the scoreline with three consecutive goals from Maryann Ezenagu,
