Lagos side Ikorodu City defeated visiting Plateau United 2-1 in a keenly contested Nigeria Premier Football League game to move to the top of the log on Sunday, www.aclsports.com reports.

It was one of the match day 13 games decided on Sunday, as the Oga Boys continued their winning run at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

After a goalless first half, Ikorodu City came out in the second half to race into a two-goal lead when Joseph Arumala headed home a delivery from Folarin Temitope before substitute Alade Balogun doubled the lead after a mix-up in the Plateau United backline. The Peace Boys were not done as a long throw-in from Tarabina Biweribo was flicked home by Wisdom Ndon.
