Enyimba Head Coach Finidi George has admitted that his side has no excuse after suffering a second loss of the campaign in the Nigeria Professional Football League 2021/22 season.

Goals from Rabiu Ali and Kokoette Udo condemned the Aba Elephants to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Kano Pillars in Kaduna on Sunday and the 50-year-old gaffer wasn’t happy about the chances his side failed to convert in the opening half of the game.

“No excuses, we’ve lost; but in a game like this when we want to win and we had the chances to have scored maybe two or three goals in the first half but we didn’t take them, that gives the opponents the courage to come at us and that was what happened – they got a penalty and they woke up,” Finidi told https://enyimbafc.net/ after the game.

“They were a wounded team but if you give them that opportunity to come back into the game they will do that.

After this latest disappointment, the former winger has set his sights on winning the next game.

“(It is) just for us to see how we can get ourselves back and make sure we can win our home game. There is no excuse.” the tactician concluded.

Enyimba will host Shooting Stars at the Aba International Stadium on matchday five next Sunday.
