Abia Warriors FC have reported fellow
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars to the league body for an alleged illegal approach to their head coach Imama Amapakabo, www.aclsports.com reports.
Amapakabo had been touted to become Pillars’ new head coach after Nigerian international Ahmed Musa was named as the club’s General Manager earlier this week, but the former Rangers coach has been faced with difficulties while trying to sever ties with the Umuahia based side.

ACLSports sources reveal that Amapakabo met a brick wall when he went to submit his resignation letter in Umuahia during the week alongside his salary for a month which is the compensation stipulated in his contract should he seek to leave the club.
However, with Amapakabo refusing to budge in spite of unreal persuasions from top government and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials, Abia Warriors have now gone a different route to report Kano Pillars to the NPFL for an illegal approach to the want-away coach.
The league body has also in like manner responded by writing to the former league champions, asking them to explain their involvement in the transfer imbroglio involving Amapakabo hinting at possible sanctions against the Sai Masu Gida.
ACLSports sources also reveal that the Kano Pillars management are extremely exasperated by Abia Warriors’ report and the league body’s threat to them. A response for them is expected to further dampen any remaining relationship between them and the other two parties.
