“Nigeria proved a point at this championship,” Jegede told www.aclsports.com. “Our athletes have shown they are capable of competing at the highest levels. This result sends a strong message that Nigeria can be a force to reckon with in international karate.”
Jegede also expressed his belief that Nigeria has the potential to become a dominant force in karate globally.
“If we attend international championships regularly and continue to develop our athletes, there is no doubt Nigeria can become world beaters in the sport.”
He commended the President of Karate Federation of Nigeria, Silas Agara for his visionary leadership.
“Under the guidance of President Agara, the federation has continued to make significant strides, and we are seeing the fruits of that vision,” Jegede said.
Furthermore, he praised Rita Ogene and Israel Jegede for their remarkable performances, ensuring that Nigeria did not return home empty-handed.
“Rita and Israel deserve commendation for their determination and skill. They ensured that Nigeria earned recognition and left with medals, which is a testament to their hard work and commitment.”
