Nigeria U18 boys team has resumed intensive camp in Lagos ahead of the 2024 IHF Trophy Africa Zone 3 Phase in Ghana.

The IHF Trophy Africa Zone 3 Phase will be held in Accra from 20th to 24th February, 2024. And will serve as a qualifier to the Men’s Youth (U19) World Championship.

The head coach of Nigeria U18 boys, Emeka Nnamani has invited 18 players who are presently undergoing preparations at the Rowe Park Sports Center in Yaba, Lagos.

Tojemarine Academy’s Kareem Farouk, Yusuf Sulaiman of Rima Strikers and Mohammed Mustapha of Confluence Stars are some of the players that makes up the under 18 men national team

Nnamani told www.aclsports.com that the players will ensure the country retains the title.

He lauded the visionary leadership of Sam Ocheho led Handball Federation of Nigeria board for investing hugely in handball at the junior level.

Nigeria’s U18 will be playing in a round robin competition at the 2024 edition IHF Trophy Africa Zone 3 Phase alongside Benin Republic, host Ghana.

The Nigeria teams will begin their campaign on February 20, 2023 as the U18 team face Benin Republic.

Nigeria are the champions of the Youth IHF Trophy African Continental Championship.
