Nigeria have been drawn in Group C alongside Cameroon, Tunisia and Ghana at the 2026 African Women’s Volleyball Championship in Nairobi, www.aclsports.com reports.

The championship kicked off on August 23, with Nigeria handed a challenging group featuring Cameroon and Tunisia, both three-time African champions.

Cameroon won three consecutive titles in 2017, 2019 and 2021 before finishing third at the last edition, while Tunisia’s three titles came in 1985, 1987 and 1995. Nigeria will also face Ghana in a West African regional derby, adding a familiar rivalry to the group as both teams battle for a place in the next round.

In the other groups, hosts Kenya will face Zambia and Mali in Group A, while Group B has Uganda, Egypt, Senegal and Burkina Faso. Group D features Algeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.
