Head coach of MFM FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu has maintained that his team is prepared and ready for a tough game against Rangers International on Wednesday evening.

“It’s just like every other game we always prepare for but it’s always tough and it’s going to be a tough game on Wednesday,” Ilechukwu said.

Adding that he expects Rangers to come with their A game as it’s their first league game of the season but “We want it more because we have a lot of young players and I’ve told them that this is an abridged league. Any home draw or loss the team will be in trouble. So we are working very hard to score goals, defend well and do all we can to win.

Rangers have been impressive on the continent securing a place in the CAF Confederations Cup and are now set to battle an MFM team who has never lost a league game at the Agege Soccer Temple.

For Ilechukwu, he recognises Rangers’ efforts and applauds their form on the continent but insists it will be tough as they will give it their all to win. “Rangers are in good form so I know it is going to be tough but we will do our best to win.

“I understand a little bit of Ogunbote’s philosophy so we’ve worked hard on all of that to ensure we go home with three points but it won’t be easy,” he reiterated.

By 4pm on Wednesday evening, MFM FC will play host to Rangers International at the Agege Soccer Temple as both teams go in search of all three points.
