Speaking on the move was Oleg Petrov, the club’s Vice President and General Manager, who welcomed Onyekuru to the club.

“We are very happy to have Henry Onyekuru with us. He has demonstrated his qualities in recent seasons. He is a fast and powerful offensive player who will strengthen our offensive sector. We welcome him.”

The Super Eagles forward joined Everton in the summer of 2017 after an impressive season at Belgian side, KAS Eupen, before he was loaned back to Belgian champions, Anderlecht where he scored 10 goals in 29 matches.

For the 2018/2019 season, Onyekuru was on the road once again after he was denied a work permit in England with Everton subsequently sending him on loan to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

He would help Galatasaray the Super Lig title, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.

“I am very happy to join a big club like Monaco, ” Onyekuru told the club. “I will give everything to progress and help the Club to make a good season. I can not wait to find my teammates.”
