Lekki VC sends warning to opponents ahead of Japa Tourney

Lekki Volleyball Club has fired a warning message to their opponents ahead of the 1st Japa Masters Volleyball Tournament which kicks off on Thursday (22nd August), www.aclsports.com reports.

Olusola Aluko, a member of Lekki VC Board of Trustees (BOT) revealed that the team is prepared to face tough teams in the tournament.

Aluko told www.aclsports.com that the club will support other clubs in Lagos to grow via attending their tournaments

He said, “Japa Master Volleyball is well known and always outstanding in any tournament organised in Lagos. They are hosting a competition, and we have to be there. We are ready and optimistic about the event and well-prepared to win.

“We have a good team to represent us. The players are equal to the task, and we promise to put up a great show of volleyball.

“We are a tough team, and so we are prepared to face other teams. We are physically and mentally ready”.

Aluko named Lagos as the new home of volleyball which possesses strong teams and competitive play.

He said, “Lagos is now the home of a good and competitive volleyball game in Nigeria. We have strong teams here in Lagos, and we are always organising volleyball events to keep the game active. We are friends, and we compete always for bragging rights.

“First, we want to support Japa Masters by taking part in this competition. Secondly, we want to show other teams that the prizes are coming home to Lekki Volleyball Club.”
