The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has selected Lawrence Iquaibom to work as an International Technical Official at the 2023 IWF World Championship in Saudi Arabia.

The IWF World Championship will take place between 4th to 17th September, 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Lawrence Iquaibo, the former weightlifter told www.aclsports.com that being selected to officiate at the World Championship is a step closer to being at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

He said, “I am excited to be amongst the few Africans selected to officiate at this year’s 2023 IWF World Championship. I officiated at the 2023 African Weightlifting Championship in Tunisia where Nigeria weightlifters performed well.
