Alvan Ikoku College of Education drew their first game 1-1 against Michael Okpara University on Tuesday, a result that secured MOU’s passage to the semis with Imo State University joining their local rivals in the last four after a comprehensive 7-0 bashing of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).

The two remaining semifinal spots were decided on Wednesday and FUTO claimed one,  bouncing back from their ignominious defeat to edge University of Port Harcourt 3-2 while Alvan Ikoku College of Education progressed after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

Semifinal matches hold on Thursday at the Kanu Sports Center. The pairings indicate Alvan Ikoku College of Education will face FUTO while Imo State University and Michael Okpara University of Agriculture will contest the second semifinal game.

Final of the competition is expected to hold on Friday at the same venue. Kanu Super Six is an initiative of former Super Eagles and Arsenal star Kanu which he says is his own way of giving back to the community.
