The head coach of Kano Pillars handball club, Solomon Yola says he plans retaining the men’s title of the 2020 edition of the Prudent Energy Handball League.

Kano Pillars won the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Yola told www.aclsports.com that Kano Pillars will beat the deadline of the transfer window and sign players in order to beef up the team.

The Ex International said, “My plan is to retain the trophy this year and become the first team to win a double in the Prudent Energy Handball League. I know it is going to be difficult but there is no mountain that is too high to climb.

“Kano Pillars HC intends to sign new players for the 2020 season and that will be done before the transfer window closes. As a team, we are working hard and Kano Pillars will introduce something new this time around; I want my team to look different and difficult to predict.

“We already have some exciting young players that are coming through the ranks and I am ready to unleash them this season”.

Yola revealed that his team is preparing to participate in the African Club’s championship scheduled for 13th to 25th November in Cairo, Egypt.

“Yes, we will feature in this year club championship in Cairo Egypt by his grace. Our target is to be among the best clubs at the end of the competition and to make the state Government proud.

“The team started training a bit late due to the COVID-19 pandemic ravishing the world but I am confident that we will catch up and perfect some of our tactics”.

Kano Pillars won bronze at the 1991 African Handball Champions League held in Kano and finished second at the 2000 Africa Handball Champions League held in Benin Republic.
