Three time African Champion, John Emmanuel told www.aclsports.com that he will no longer represent Ondo state at any National Wrestling championships.

Emmanuel claimed that he has been jobless for 11 years despite bringing Sunshine State at various championships.

He said, “I am done representing Ondo state in any National Championships. I have won national titles and became a three time African champion, yet I am jobless.

“It is a big shame to the state government; there was a time they were planning to retrench athletes who are not from Ondo state. Sport is a unifying factor and should not be used as a tool of disunity”.

The World number 10 revealed that his next target is to become an All Africa Games champion.

“I will not be distracted by Ondo state, my eye is on the prize ahead which is gold at the All Africa Games in Morocco. I have dominated Africa, the next thing is to add the All Africa Games gold in my trophy cabinet”.
