Ivory Coast’s sprinter Marie-José Ta Lou on Wednesday finished top of the 60m indoor race at the Dusseldorf meeting in Germany.

The 30-year-old, who is the current world vice champion in the category, closed the race at 7.02 seconds, her best performance of the winter.

She bested Poland’s Ewa Swoboda (7.10) and in form Dafne Schippers (7”19) from the Netherlands.

In the 1500m discipline, Ethiopian Samuel Tefera, who defeated El-Guerrouj on Sunday in Birmingham (3’31”04), was overpowered by 18-year-old Dutchman Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who is a double continental champion in the 1500m and 5000m.
