Stellenbosch FC’s Nigerian defender Kazie Enyinnaya Godswill is set for a move away from the South African club following interests from top clubs in the continent, www.aclsports.com reports.
Kazie Godswill, 27, will be a free agent at the expiration of his two-year contract this summer and it is understood that he is already a subject of transfer enquiries from clubs in North and South Africa.
The former Rivers United star is an experienced campaigner in CAF continental competitions and ACLSports sources revealed that this is an important part of his résumé that has attracted offers outside of the PSL
Algerian side USMA as well as Tanzanian rivals Simba SC and Young Africans (Yanga SC) are some of the clubs willing to pounce on free agent Godswill at the end of the season.
The right back, known for his decisive tackling and good attacking outlet down the right flank has been one of Stellenbosch’s key players this season, making 35 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals in the process.
Kazie Godswill and his Stellenbosch side have two more games left in this Premier Soccer League season before the Abia state-born defender will say his goodbyes to the team.
His imminent departure would represent a significant loss for Stellenbosch following his rapid impact in a short period, while discussions surrounding his next destination are expected to intensify till the end of the season.
