The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has concluded plans to host eight various National Championships and attend 10 Confederation of African Handball Programs sanctioned tournaments in 2022.

In the HFN 2022 program of activities obtained by www.aclsports.com, Edo state will host the 2021 National Division One League in February while the 2022 National U18/21 Championships takes place in March, a venue yet to be decided by the Federation.

In May, the first phase of the 2022 Prudent Energy Handball League (fifth edition) is slated for Abuja while the second phase is billed to take place in Lagos by October.

The 2022 National U-12/U-15 Handball Championship will take center stage in Sokoto state for the third consecutive year around July/August while the 2022 edition of the National Division One League is slated between November/December in Edo state.

Finally, the National Handball Open Championship for interested states and clubs will take place in December.

Meanwhile, Nigeria will be attended the following Confederation of African Handball Programs:

  • 28th Women’s Juniors Africa Nations Championship from 19th to 25th February, 2022 in Conakry, Guinea
  • 17th Women’s Youth Africa Nations Championship from 27th February to 6th March, 2022 in Conakry, Guinea
  • 29th Super Cup (men and women) on 7th April, 2022 in Niger Republic
  • 38th Africa Clubs Championship for the Winner’s Cup (Senior men and women) from 8th to 17th April, 2020 in Niger Republic
  • IHF Challenge Cup from 11th to 17th April, 2020 in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire
  • 25th Men’s Senior African Nations Cup from 22nd June to 2nd July, 2022 in Morocco
  • 29th Men’s Junior Africa Nations Championship from 20th to 29th August, 2020 in Rwanda
  • 18th Men’s Youth Africa Nations Championship from 30th August to 6th September, 2020 in Rwanda
  • 43rd Africa Club Championship (Men and Women) from 7th to 16th October, 2022 in Tunisia
  • 25th Women’s Senior Africa Nations Cup (Men and Women) from 9th to 19th November, 2022 in Senegal
