The head coach of COAS Shooters, Emeka Nnamani said a large chunk of his players came from Sambisa forest in Maiduguri, blaming the number of draws on fatigue.

COAS recorded five draws and one win at the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Nnamani told www.aclsports.com that he joined the team in Lagos due to national assignment. “Few of my players are aged while most of them were brought from Sambisa to come and feature in this league.

“I feel this should be the reason why we drew most of our matches. We are only trying to manage the players”, he said.

On the numbers of draws recorded by the Chief of Army Staff team, Nnamani said, “Well, I cannot say. Maybe it is because I was not around to train the boys, put them in shape and condition them before the second phase. I was on National assignment and met them few weeks before the league and I have to manage them”.

“I want to say it is destiny because some seconds to go, our opponents were always leading us, we eventually equalised.

“We will continue to manage the players the way they are till we win the rest of our games”, he added.
