First Bank and MFM remained unbeaten as the 2026 NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Final 8 concluded at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, on Thursday, www.aclsports.com reports.
Nine-time champions First Bank maintained their perfect record with a 69–47 victory over Nigeria Customs, ending their unbeaten run at the Final 8. The result saw last year’s finalists maintain their perfect record heading into the semi-finals.
MFM wrapped up their campaign with a 60–48 victory over Aso Sky Queens. Last season’s third-placed team gradually took control of the contest before pulling away in the closing stages to secure a 12-point win.
Bayelsa Blue Whales claimed their first win of the Final 8 with a 43–39 victory over Titans Basketball. The result left Titans without a win in the competition.
Air Warriors also secured their first win, beating Victoria Queens 60–47. Victoria Queens finished the Final 8 without a win after losing all three of their games.
The semi-finals will be played on Friday, October 2, with the tournament concluding with the final on Saturday, October 3.
