The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari approved the removal and redeployment of Olusade Adesola and 18 other Permanent Secretaries.

President Buhari ordered for the immediate handing and taking over process with immediate effect except from the Permanent Secretaries of Finance and Aviation and those of environment and budget planning.

The former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Olusade Adesola has been redeployed to the ministry of Niger Delta.

The new permanent secretary of the ministry of youth and sports development is Gabriel Aduda.

The immediate past president of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Tijani Umar is the new permanent secretary of the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
