The 2024 Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Federation Cup round of 64 matches ended with Rivers United beating Ikukuoma FC 1-0 on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.

The NPFL side faced off against the Imo State side in the encounter played at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba. Skipper Nyima Nwagua scored the game’s only goal to help Pride of Rivers progress to the next round where they will be facing Niger Tornadoes.

In the other remaining fixture of the round, Bayelsa United defeated Basira FC 2-0 in Enugu to set up a clash with Katsina United in the next round.

Meanwhile, the round’s pick was Rangers vs Kano Pillars – a repeat of last year’s semi-final – in Abuja earlier on Wednesday. Sai Masu Gida got their revenge as they triumphed via penalties after the game finished 1-1 in regulation time.
