Nigeria Professional Football League side El-Kanemi Warriors on Sunday night announced former Rangers coach Imama Amapakabo as new head of their technical crew.

Amapakabo won the league title while in charge of Rangers in the 2014/15 league season but has been unattached since leaving his post at Rangers in April.

The Super Eagles assistant coach replaces Ladan Bosso who parted ways with the Maiduguri based club last month.

El-Kanemi Warriors Media Officer, Anthony Obaseki also announced on Sunday evening that Amapakabo’s unveiling ceremony will be held on Tuesday in Maiduguri.

Imama signed a one-year deal with the club with a further option to renew.

The Nigerian league season ended in September and a November date has been mooted for the commencement of the new season.
