Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi, is a man in form after scoring yet another brace for his club in the English second division on Wednesday.

The center back, who seems to be enjoying his new defensive midfield role at the relegation threatened side, Rotherham United, struck two excellent goals to boast their survival hopes with a 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.

Ajayi’s latest strikes are coming almost two weeks after he also scored a brace in their 3-2 win against Blackburn Rovers.

It was Rotherham’s first away win of the season, and the goals, Ajayi’s fourth and fifth in his last five league matches.

He takes his tally for the season to an impressive six goals in 37 matches.

A superb performance from the Super Eagle, which would impress his national team boss, Gernot Rohr, ahead of next week’s international break, the first in 2019.

Ajayi also won two tackles, one interception and an incredible 14 headed duels in the encounter.

Elsewhere, Stoke City held their hosts, Derby County, to a goalless draw but were without their Super Eagle star, Oghenekaro Etebo, who was not listed for that trip.

At the Riverside stadium, ten-man Middlesbrough and John Obi Mikel lost for the second consecutive time after a 1-2 loss to Preston North End at home.

Mikel, who was on the pitch for 85minutes, was denied his first Boro goal by the woodwork before he was substituted.
