Kelechi Iheanacho for the first time since his breakout season has scored double figures in goals after helping Leicester City bounce back at the weekend.

Eagles in Europe returns after a long and enforced break by the deadly novel pandemic, Coronavirus, to review performances of Super Eagles players in Europe.

Kelechi Iheanacho has scored 4 Premier League goals this season, his best return since 2015/2016.

Iheanacho helped the Foxes to their first win since Project Restart in the Premier League as they defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 at the King Power on Saturday.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring five minutes into the second half before a Jamie Vardy brace completed a comprehensive outing for the home side.

Iheanacho’s goal took his tally to five in the PL and 10 in all competitions, with four assists to his name, too.

He has played 22 times this season, 16 of which have been in the PL and lasted 64 minutes against Palace.

His compatriot at the club, Wilfred Ndidi, was on from start to finish and completed the most tackles (3) in the match as Leicester kept a clean sheet.

Still in England, it was a bad day at the office for Leon Balogun in the Championship after Wigan suffered a 3-0 loss at Brentford.

West Bromwich Albion sealed a second consecutive win without Semi Ajayi courtesy of a 4-2 defeat of Hull City on Sunday.

For Super Eagles stars in the LaLiga, Leganes earned a rare away win at Espanyol but just one of their Nigerian stars, Chidozie Awaziem, featured in the 0-1 win.

Awaziem was an 88th-minute substitute while Kenneth Omeruo was not listed for the trip.

Samuel Chukwueze had an unimpressive night as a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona thrashed him and Villarreal 1-4. Chukwueze was on from start to finish but failed to create a chance for his teammates.

Ramon Azeez was an unused substitute for Granada’s 2-2 draw at home to Valencia, while Oghenekaro Etebo was not listed for Getafe’s goalless affair at Osasuna.

In Italy, William Troost-Ekong could not help Udinese to a clean sheet after a 2-2 draw at home to Genoa, with Ola Aina and his Torino team getting served 4-1 in Turin by defending Champions, Juventus.

Ekong started and finished the game for Udinese, with Aina playing for 84 minutes.
