Super Eagles duo of Paul Onuachu and Moses Simon are two of the hottest Nigerians in Europe at the moment after another impressive display at the weekend.

Such was their performance in Belgium and France respectively that they caught the watchful eyes of yours truly and Eagles in Europe, EiE.

Onuachu made it goal number 4 this season and 51 in 79 appearances for KRC Genk after coming from the bench to score the winner in a 1-2 at St. Truiden on Sunday.

The giant man was only on the pitch for 30 minutes, after he replaced fellow Nigerian Ike Ugbo on the hour mark.

Onuachu has now scored three goals in his last three matches for Genk.

Moses Simon was another Super Eagles star who impressed for his club on Sunday following his creative masterclass performance for Nantes in their big win at Angers in the Ligue 1.

Simon created five chances, the most by any player on the pitch, three key passes and assisted the opening and third goals before he was replaced on 66 minutes.

Both assists took his tally in the season to five, making him the player with the most assists in Ligue 1 this season, more than Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe combined.

Joe Aribo continued a memorable Sunday for Super Eagles stars with another solid display for Scottish champions Rangers.

The midfielder created seven chances and six key passes for his teammates but they were only able to score one en route a 1-1 at home to Motherwell. It was Aribo’s first assist of the season.

He played from start to finish in what was his sixth league game of the season for Rangers, while his compatriot Leon Balogun was an unused substitute.

Meanwhile, Cyriel Dessers has opened his goal account for new club Feyenoord as he scored one and assisted another in their comprehensive 0-4 demolition of Dutch giants PSV on Sunday.

Collins created two chances, two key passes, won two tackles, 100% aerial duels and played 90 minutes.

On Saturday,  the forgotten Anthony Nwakaeme continues to put national team selectors under the radar after another superb outing in Turkey for Trabzonspor.

Nwakaeme inspired his club to another important result, a 0-1 win over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig.

It was his second assist of the season, with the experienced wide forward taking is overall tally to four goals and two assists in just 5 matches.

Kenneth Omeruo was rewarded for his solid defending after guiding Leganes to a clean sheet in the Spanish second division.

Omeruo finished the game with 6 aerial duels won, three interceptions, one tackle won, 10 clearances and 1 clean sheet.

Also in Spain, Sadiq Umar showed that he’s too hot to handle for defenders after his brace earned UD Almeria a comfortable 0-4 away win at Alcorcon.

Umar has now scored or assisted 5 goals in 6 matches for Almeria this season.

Finally,  special mention to former MFM man, Stephen Odey who grabbed a first half brace for Rander in their 3-2 win over Nordsjælland.

Odey is on a season-long loan deal from Belgian club KRC Genk.
